Where we started

We purchased this charming Pacific Northwest Farmhouse in May 2018. During that transition time of waiting for the sale of our family home for the past 20 years, we spent most of the summer and early fall in clean-up mode. I am including a number of photos here to share our starting point. We took 30+ trips to the dump. We took 15 trips to the recycling center for paper recycling alone. We filled two drop boxes full of metal recycling. We were on a first name basis with the workers at the dump. We thought the people there were delightfully friendly. Later we decided that they might have been so nice because they felt sorry for us. This was a long and arduous process to get us to the point when we could start real restoration work. Through it all, we continued to remind ourselves of how blessed we are to have this opportunity.

First off I would like to say terrific blog! I had a quick question which I’d like to ask if you don’t mind.

I was curious to know how you center yourself and clear your mind before writing.
I have had a hard time clearing my thoughts in getting my thoughts out there.
I truly do enjoy writing however it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes are usually
wasted just trying to figure out how to begin. Any suggestions or
    hints? Thank you! http://kadenceorlando.com/

Thank you for your kind words. If I do write well it is only because of inspiration from the topic. Like the book I am promoting (Dwelling, by Melissa Michaels) she writes beautifully because she is passionate about her subject. Check out the Feature section of my blog to see the book I am referring to. Best of luck to you . Write from your heart.
